Job summary

PSC Group in Baytown, TX seeks a Plant Industrial Technician to operate and maintain heavy equipment in chemical plants. You’ll handle vacuum trucks, mobile packaging units, and transfer trailers while adhering to safety rules and OSHA standards to protect people and the environment.

Shift is 12-hour rotating days/nights. A valid driver’s license and English proficiency are required; TWIC may be needed depending on site, and you must pass drug, physical, and background checks.

Qualifications

• May require a valid Driver’s License and / or a valid TWIC card, depending on work location
• 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
• Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check; wear all required PPE and pass medical exams

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains industrial equipment such as vacuum trucks, mobile packaging units, trailer transfer units, and roll off trucks safely and efficiently
• Ensures equipment is in compliance with safe work practices, policies and procedures
• Transfers materials in railcars and works with sumps, drains, trenches, reactors and silos as needed
• Fills out paperwork and communicates effectively with customer representative
• Follows all site safety procedures and OSHA standards at all times
• Completes any other duties assigned to finish the job
