Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking an Environmental Technician to perform field sampling, monitoring, and data collection to support environmental consulting projects. You will work under supervision while developing foundational technical skills and progressing toward independent field execution.

You will gain hands-on experience in reporting, equipment calibration, and basic remediation concepts, with opportunities to learn from senior staff and earn required certifications.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position with a focus on learning environmental sampling basics.
• Must be able to work outdoors and adapt to site conditions.
• Must obtain basic certifications per ECS Technician Policy.

Responsibilities

• Performs and supports field sampling of soil, groundwater, air and other media.
• Works in indoor and outdoor environments under varying conditions.
• Communicates daily with technicians, project managers and site personnel.
• Attends project meetings with senior staff as requested.
• Assists with data collection, basic calculations, and documentation.
• Prepares clear daily field reports describing site activities and observations.
• Learns to calibrate, operate, and maintain field equipment.
• Begins to support installation, operation, and maintenance of remediation equipment.
• Begins to learn remediation chemistry basics and MEP principles.
• Obtains required certifications as assigned.
