Job summary

alphanumeric Environmental team in North Dakota seeks an Environmental Representative II to manage compliance efforts for upstream and midstream activities in a fast-paced oil and gas setting. You will support annual audits, coordinate with agencies, and lead spill response and regulatory tasks in the field and office.

The role requires 3+ years of relevant environmental experience, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and travel up to 80% to field sites.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in environmental science, engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 3+ years of environmental experience, including oil and gas operations.
  • Strong knowledge of federal/state environmental regulations (NSR, Title V, NSPS, MACT, GHG).
  • Willingness to travel 20% office, 80% field; outdoor work in varied weather.

Responsibilities

  • Promote environmental awareness and provide monthly training for field personnel.
  • Maintain current knowledge of regulations relevant to oil and gas operations.
  • Perform field environmental activities including inspections, sampling, well gauging, and remedial work.
  • Utilize FLIR/OGI to inspect sites for compliance and process improvement.
  • Support SPCC, storm water, and waste management plans and deadlines.
  • Advise operations on permitting requirements and air compliance documentation.
  • Develop site facility diagrams and inventories for compliance programs.
  • Input and trend environmental data to support proactive programs.
  • Assist with internal audits and regulatory industry meetings.
  • Respond to spills, support air emission testing and reporting as required.
  • Perform duties with limited supervision and collaborate across teams.
  • Position level will be commensurate with experience.
