Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Field Engineers for our DualLink service growth in North America. The DualLink Field Engineer team are responsible for ensuring the highest standards of performance in all DualLink operations in North America.

Are you a hands-on engineer with a passion for cutting edge drilling technologies ? Join our team as a Field Engineer, where you’ll operate the latest powered and wired drill pipe system in the industry, including novel downhole tools enabled by high speed telemetry and power via DualLink.

This role is primarily at the rigsite: USA, Canada and potentially internation as needed. Our field engineers are the daily on site technical and operational liaison with the customer, managing pre-job planning, direct customer engagement, onsite job execution (onshore and offshore), monitoring and comprehensive post-job follow-up. The Field Engineers play a critical role in maintaining technical excellence, client satisfaction, and continuous improvement throughout the deployment of DualLink technology and services.

Key Responsibilities

Planning and execution of DualLink projects at the rigs site, working closely with internal teams, clients, and partners

Participate in equipment preparation, testing, documentation, and mobilization

Execute field operations at rig site, including interpretation and troubleshooting of high speed telemetry data and power usage

Primary on site contact point for customer communication, including coordination with partners and drilling contractors, following all operating procedures, troubleshooting techniques, and best practices

Provide daily updates and maintain close communication with support and management, reporting job performance, ensure detailed data collection and retention, and prepare end-of-well reports and performance summaries / presentations

Promote and enforce best practices in operations, documentation, and quality standards

Support management in identifying and managing operational specific QHSE risks, while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical discipline (preferred)

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in wired pipe, M/LWD, RSS or Real Time Ops Center – preferably with a strong understanding of downhole telemetry

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Proven ability to work independently and in team environments

Excellent communication skills & fluency in English: written, verbal, presentation

Practical experience and ability to work in demanding, remote environments with mechanical and electrical tasks, occasionally carrying heavy equipment and tools

Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally, working at the rig site and customer offices

Authorization for employment in the USA
