Job summary

StructureCare is seeking a Field Engineering Technician to support structural inspection processes, collecting deterioration data in the field and using 360 video and tablets to document conditions for review and reporting. The role also supports operations when not inspecting, including leak surveys, safety audits, and non-destructive testing.

Applicants should have >5 years in construction, understanding of structural components, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

Minimum high school education required; associate or four-year degree preferred in a construction-related field.
>5 years experience in the building construction field.
Familiarity with structural components, terminology, and field construction.
Proficiency with tablets and smartphones for capturing photos and data in the field.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team; strong written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to travel to sites within ~3 hours of home base; overnight stays may be required.

Responsibilities

Conduct walk-through surveys of structures; document existing conditions with photos and video.
Record observations using tablets, 360 cameras and other equipment for engineering review.
Perform chloride ion sampling as part of inspections.
Conduct non-destructive testing and other field diagnostics.
Collaborate to generate accurate field drawings and reports.
Act as field representative on larger projects and support project management teams.
