Job summary

Ranger Energy Services, LLC seeks an Engineering Technician to provide field service and engineering support for rig monitoring systems, with frequent travel to field offices and customer locations.

You will install, calibrate, and repair electronic components at rig sites, analyze real-time data, and develop KPIs to support operational improvements. Based in Midland, TX with travel as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration.
• Fundamental understanding of equipment and electronic systems and ability to perform required repairs.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Collaboration, teamwork, strong interpersonal and effective communication skills.
• Understanding of oilfield operations or experience in field service is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support, maintain and service rig monitoring data systems and technology packages.
• Install, commission, calibrate, and repair electronic components at rig sites.
• Ensure quality control, data integrity and reliability of rig monitoring systems.
• Provide engineering and technical support to operations and field staff.
• Communicate and interface with customers remotely and in person.
• Troubleshoot and resolve rig monitoring system or data issues; perform repairs and implement corrective actions or best practices.
• Develop, benchmark and track goals and KPIs to present to internal and external customers.
• Analyze real time data, complex data sets and maintain databases for operational or business analysis.
• Prepare lookbacks and generate post job reports.
