Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; 3 years of surveying/drafting experience.
• Or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience providing the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Knowledge of field inspection and documentation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Field inspection of assets.
• Documenting inspection progress through daily reports, photographs, measurements, and field notes.
• Identifying defective, incomplete, or nonconforming assets and ensuring deficiencies are addressed.
• Inspecting contractor work for compliance with plans, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Monitoring construction materials, installation methods, quantities, and workmanship.
• Documenting project progress through daily reports, photographs, measurements, and field notes.
• Verifying quantities used for contractor payment and supporting accurate project cost tracking.
• Monitoring site conditions, traffic control, erosion and sediment controls, and restoration activities as applicable.
• Reviewing completed work before final acceptance.
