Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Engineering Technician to support drilling and subsurface investigations. This hands-on, field-based position works with drilling crews to assist site operations, collect samples, maintain equipment and support projects.

The role emphasizes outdoor work, physical activity, and learning technical field processes. Candidates should be able to travel locally and regionally and enjoy hands-on field duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in construction, drilling, or field services preferred.
• Physically capable of demanding outdoor work.
• Must have valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally and regionally.

Responsibilities

• Assist drilling crews with field investigations and activities.
• Support site setup, equipment mobilization and sample collection.
• Load, transport, and maintain drilling tools and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on rigs, trucks, trailers and equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and keep work areas clean and organized.
• Assist with shop, yard and equipment prep between projects.
