Job summary

Roche Support Network is seeking a Field Engineering Specialist to travel and provide on-site repair and installation for Roche product lines at laboratory customers in the assigned territory. You will diagnose and repair mechanical, hardware, software and system failures, perform preventative maintenance, and document all activities to support continuous quality improvement.

The role is field-based with daily travel and up to 10% overnight travel; the ideal candidate lives in Southern

• 5 years of progressive experience in repairing/mechanical hardware or networking, or a Bachelor's degree with 1-2 years.
• Ability to travel including overnight travel; willingness to serve as a technical resource.

Our ideal candidate would reside in Southern Connecticut, or within a 40-mile radius of the area.** **Who You Are*** High school diploma and 2 years of technical school or equivalent military training or work experience are required.* 5 years of progressive experience in repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking is necessary. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 1-2 years of progressive experience will suffice.* Successful completion of training or certification as defined by RD Services Leadership and policy is mandatory.* The ability to travel, including overnight travel, is a requirement for this role. **Preferred Requirements*** 8+ years of progressive experience or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus 4+ years of progressive experience are required.* Advanced knowledge of electronics, electro-mechanical systems, information technology, and basic chemistry.* The ability to serve as an internal technical resource, provide support after hours and on weekends/holidays, and maintain strong customer relationships is essential. **Relocation benefits are not available with this job posting.** The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Connecticut is $71,100.00 - $132,000.00 USD annual. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
