Job summary

FlatironDragados offers an Intern Program for college students in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Construction Management. Interns will work on real-world projects at various locations, supporting the project team on-site.

Interns will assist with field conditions, QA/QC testing, surveying, and review of drawings while gaining experience in scheduling and document control, using CAD tools for temporary structures design.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited engineering, construction management, or similar undergraduate program.
• Willingness to assist project team and perform on-site tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret plans and support field operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with evaluation of field conditions and acceptance testing.
• Support QA/QC engineering materials testing.
• Apply survey knowledge to assist with project layout and checking of work to confirm conformance with plans and specifications.
• Review project drawings and coordinate design changes.
• Provide document control for correspondence, submittals, design releases, etc.
• Initiate engineering design clarifications.
• Perform quantity tracking and productivity analysis for operation efficiency.
• Assist with preparing and updating project schedule and interact with scheduling decision processes.
• Respond to field for design clarification, and manage subcontractors field operations and verify contract payments.
• Provide design assistance to the project engineer for the design of temporary structures using CAD tools.
