Job summary

University of Texas at Applied Research Laboratories seeks a Field Engineering Associate to groom, operate, and maintain advanced underwater sensor systems in Bangor, WA. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Six years of related experience with five years of operation, test, evaluation and employment of sophisticated Navy systems, including underwater acoustic systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, plan, and execute installation, test and maintenance procedures using formal Navy systems and processes.
  • Detailed knowledge of training product/curriculum development and ability to deliver training to active duty Navy and industry partners.

Responsibilities

  • Provide field engineering technical support for underwater sensor suites, including grooming, operation and maintenance.
  • Coordinate and plan grooming, testing and utilization of complex acoustic systems.
  • Develop operator training materials and deliver operator training to end users.
  • Assist in the development of technical documentation and manuals for sensor operation and maintenance.
  • Support testing and maintenance aboard UUV platforms and Navy ships, and liaise with sponsors and vendors.
