Job summary

Crossland Heavy Contractors, Inc. seeks an entry-level Field Engineer to learn how projects are built and managed on-site. You will spend 1–3 years in the field assisting with day-to-day operations while training toward roles such as Craft Superintendent or Project Engineer.

A drug screen, physical, and criminal background check are required for successful candidates. This role offers hands-on field exposure and opportunities for advancement within our construction teams.

Qualifications

• College graduates in construction are preferred.
• Drug screen, physical and criminal background check required.
• Entry-level salaried position with growth path to superintendent roles.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor job-site safety.
• Study plans and specifications to understand the project.
• Layout for the project using total station and GPS.
• Quality control and as-built documentation.
• Assist in subcontractor control and scheduling.
• Document project progress with reports and schedules.
• Assist in procurement and material organization.
• Capture daily/weekly project photos for records.
