Job summary

Holder Construction in LaGrange, GA is seeking a Field Engineer Technician to join our Operations team on a full-time basis. The role requires operating surveying instruments, setting stakes, and determining elevations and alignments on our project site.

Ideal candidates have 2 years of construction/surveying experience with total station and site levels, strong surveying math skills, and the ability to lift 50–100 lbs and work outdoors in a safe environment. OT and weekend hours may be required.

Qualifications

• 2 years of construction/surveying experience using total station and site levels.
• Complete understanding of surveying math, and good communication skills required.
• Must be agile/mobile, remain alert, be able to stand or walk for long periods, use fingers, hands & arms to reach, handle and manipulate objects, climb up/down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects.
• Work on uneven surfaces/heights, be able to read/write, and can see & hear well either naturally or with correction.
• Must be able to lift and carry materials of all shapes and sizes weighing 50-100 lbs., 75% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Operate total station instrument, transit, Auto level and other surveying instruments.
• Set and mark stakes for slopes, grades and other construction purposes.
• Determine lines, corners, elevations, grades, alignments, angles, positions, and distances. Maintain total station and field book. Maintain survey equipment and tools.
