Job summary

Holder Construction in Culpepper, VA is seeking an Engineer Technician in Training to join our Operations team on a full-time project. This entry-level role includes on-the-job training and exposure to surveying equipment.

You will assist Field Engineers with robotic total stations and autolevels, perform layout, and support field supervision while developing practical construction skills on site.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidates may have construction experience but it is not required.
• Must be able to work overtime and weekend hours.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Punctuality and promptness are required every day.
• Individuals must be able to work in an OSHA compliant safety environment.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Assist Field Engineers in operating robotic total station instruments, autolevel and other surveying instruments.
• Perform construction layout by setting stakes, marking lines, elevations, grades, and reference points.
• This position will include on the job training.
• Maintain total station, field book, survey equipment and tools. Provide primary support to field supervision and demonstrate ownership of assigned tasks.
