Job summary

Holder Construction seeks a Field Engineer Technician to join our Operations team on a project in Conesville, OH. This full-time, on-site role supports surveying activities and field leadership on a live construction site.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of surveying experience with total station and site levels, strong math skills, and the ability to work outdoors, lift 50–100 lbs, and operate survey instruments safely.

Qualifications

• 2 years of construction/surveying experience using total station and site levels.
• Understanding of surveying math and good communication skills.
• Able to stand or walk long periods, lift 50–100 lbs., and work on uneven surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Operate total station instrument, transit, Auto level and other surveying instruments.
• Set and mark stakes for slopes, grades and other construction purposes.
• Determine lines, corners, elevations, grades, alignments, angles, positions, and distances. Maintain total station and field book. Maintain survey equipment and tools.
• Work overtime and weekend hours; outdoor work in OSHA-compliant environment.
• Punctuality and promptness are required every day.

About the Role

We are looking for a Field Engineer Technician to join our Operations team on our project in Conesville, OH. This is a full-time position.

Key Responsibilities

• Ability to operate total station instrument, transit, Auto level and other surveying instruments.
• Sets and marks stakes for slopes, grades and other construction purposes.
• Determines lines, corners, elevations, grades, alignments, angles, positions, and distances.Maintains total station and field book.Maintains survey equipment and tools.

Qualifications

Required

• Ideal candidate for this position will possess 2 years of construction/surveying experience using total station and site levels.
• Complete understanding of surveying math, and good communication skills required.
• Must be agile/mobile, remain alert, be able to stand or walk for long periods of time, use fingers, hands & arms to reach, handle and manipulate objects, climb up/down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects.
• Work on uneven surfaces/heights, be able to read/write, and can see & hear well either naturally or with correction.
• Must be able to lift and carry materials of all shapes and sizes weighing 50-100 lbs., 75% of the time.

• Individuals must be able to work in an OSHA compliant safety environment.
• Must be able to work outside.
• Must be able to work overtime and weekend hours.
