Job summary

NextEra Energy is seeking an Associate PGD Engineer to join the Solar Operations Team. The role focuses on daily operation and maintenance of large-scale solar and/or battery facilities within Florida.

You will also act as the site safety manager, ensuring safety and environmental compliance while coordinating with OEMs, vendors and the Renewables Operation Control Center. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a strong bias for action, able to work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering highly preferred.
• Experience with field operation and maintenance of large-scale solar/battery facilities is a plus.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to work independently in outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain large-scale solar and/or battery facilities in Florida.
• Serve as site safety manager and ensure regulatory environmental compliance.
• Be on-call for West Florida sites and coordinate with the Renewables Operation Control Center, OEMs, vendors and contractors.
• Perform preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with engineering staff and apply standard engineering techniques as needed.
