Job summary

MatrixSpace is seeking a hands-on Customer Solutions Field Engineer to help customers deploy, configure, and use radar systems in real-world environments. You will work directly with customers to understand applications, lead installation and commissioning when needed, validate system performance, troubleshoot and optimize deployments, train users, and test new capabilities in the field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with RF knowledge.
• 1–3 years experience with RF, wireless, radar, sensing systems.
• Demonstrated RF knowledge including antennas, propagation, interference.
• Able to troubleshoot complex systems with limited direction.
• Experience communicating technical information to customers.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.
• Field testing about 20% of the time near Hoffman Estates, IL.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical success of customer deployments, ensuring equipment is properly installed, commissioned, configured, and performing as expected in the field.
• Assess customer sites and deployment plans for sensor placement, coverage, performance, networking, mounting, connectivity and other dependencies.
• Perform or support installation and commissioning, including bring-up, configuration, calibration, testing, and documenting deployments.
• Validate field performance against requirements using hands-on testing and measurement equipment.
• Own customer and field issues from identification through resolution, coordinating with engineering as needed.
• Train customer personnel on setup, operation, verification, and troubleshooting.
• Plan and conduct field testing of new features and improvements, including drones/aircraft and document results.
• Collaborate with engineering, technical sales, and other teams to prioritize needs and improve customer experience.
