Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an entry-level Field Engineer to join the Power Delivery division. You’ll collaborate on mechanical, electrical, and heavy civil projects, travel as needed, and contribute to safety and quality on the jobsite.

The role requires a relevant engineering degree, willingness to relocate, and strong communication and organizational skills. Base compensation ranges from $85,000 to $90,000 with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of construction safety and OSHA standards
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and owner specifications
  • Familiarity with project scheduling and cost control techniques

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a dynamic team to build, estimate, and schedule projects
  • Prepare detailed work plans and schedules to guide project execution
  • Ensure quality control, manage and track costs, purchase and manage materials, and maintain schedule and equipment logistics
  • Administer safety programs with strict adherence to Kiewit’s safety philosophy
  • Foster relationships with owners and stakeholders
  • Support both administrative and field operations: review drawings, perform takeoffs, prepare cost estimates
  • Supervise subcontractors, coordinate with vendors, uphold high construction standards
