Role Overview

The Field Engineer will support outage demands by supervising technicians (Welders, Fitters, and Leads) in executing piping and auxiliary work scopes across Siemens-Energy Power Plants, including CT’s, Steam, and Nuclear facilities. Responsibilities include managing safety, quality, and schedule, coordinating with project engineers, and ensuring technical knowledge of power plant systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence for the crew and work scope.
  • Collaborate with project engineers on preplanning, documentation review, lessons learned, and tooling.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of power plant piping, valves, oil systems, and auxiliary capabilities.
  • Possess knowledge of welding, fitting, and piping FME.
Qualifications:
  • BS in a related discipline preferred; high school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 5 years of generation service experience; experience leading a crew during outages is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% during peak season.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel; knowledge of P&ID and reading/interpreting drawings is a plus.
