KBE Building Corporation is seeking a Field Engineer to assist the Project Manager with day-to-day construction, technical and administrative tasks on assigned projects in Farmington, CT. This field role requires coordinating drawings, submittals, RFIs, changes, and close-out activities, while ensuring compliance with project requirements and company procedures.

The position emphasizes organization, timely communication, and collaboration with subcontractors, owners, and engineers.

Qualifications

• BS in Construction Management or Engineering Technology with 0–3 years building construction experience
• Or 2+ years administrative construction industry experience
• Basic understanding of construction principles and practices
• Comfortable with technology
• Experience with BIM and LEED is beneficial
• Proven skills in organization, time management, flexibility, urgency, professionalism with clients and coworkers, and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Perform project startup.
• Review plans and specifications to understand assigned project.
• Review owner contract for project-specific requirements.
• Coordinate and initiate drawings to subs for pricing and award.
• Maintain drawing lists and master document set.
• Manage document control procedures on site and electronically.
• Prepare necessary project documents and reports.
• Coordinate close-out per specifications and procedures.
• Create and maintain subcontractor close-out compliance.
• Coordinate kick-off meetings and gather project information.
