Job summary

Clark Construction Group is seeking a Field Engineer to oversee critical technical functions and manage engineering projects on-site. You will test equipment, inspect sites, and ensure regulatory compliance while solving on-site challenges.

The role requires reading complex drawings, establishing horizontal and vertical controls, and coordinating with clients to deliver precise layouts, measurements, and material estimates for daily pours and earthwork.

Qualifications

• Strong technical and engineering skills required.
• Ability to read and interpret complex structural, architectural, and shop drawings.
• Provide accurate layouts from drawings and establish vertical dimensions.
• Accurate measurement using scales and apply temperature corrections when chaining.

Responsibilities

• Establish project horizontal control and verify consultant-provided control.
• Establish vertical control and working benchmarks; maintain data.
• Conduct site grading, layout, and field measurements with accuracy.
• Care for and operate Total Station instruments; calibrate and set corrections.
• Operate Auto Level equipment; calculate earthwork and level loops.
• Compute concrete quantities for pours and track volumes during pours.
