Orion Marine Construction | Atlantic Division in Tampa, FL is hiring an entry-level Field Engineer to support marine construction crews on site. You’ll work with project engineers, superintendents, barge foremen, and craft crews; tasks include laying out anchor bolts, checking elevations, and surveying work for quantities.

The role includes up to 100% travel across Florida, Alabama, South Carolina, and the Caribbean, with a rotation of roughly 3 weeks on site and 1 week off.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Science, or related field, or four years of equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of project administration, construction materials, procurement, estimating, scheduling, project tracking software, and cost control.
• Familiarity with engineering and project standards, safety practices, and environmental compliance.
• Ability to learn technical procedures quickly and communicate clearly with engineers, supervisors, and craft crews.
• Ability to drive a passenger vehicle to job sites, travel up to 100%, and work the project rotation.

Mansioni

• Read project plans and specifications and establish control lines and elevations for accurate installation.
• Survey as-built conditions, collect topographic data, and calculate quantities for planning and payment.
• Coordinate survey work with the assigned engineer and maintain survey equipment.
• Inspect and measure incoming materials to verify quality and quantity; assist with purchases and deliveries.
• Assist with drafting, cost estimates, and bid proposals when assigned to the office.
• Reinforce safe work practices and support environmental compliance; stop work if unsafe conditions arise.
