Job summary

FlatironDragados is seeking a Field Engineer to lead field operations on construction projects. You will provide technical engineering information to ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes and contract specs, while coordinating with project crews and subcontractors on a daily basis.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings and material requirements, planning field layout, monitoring production, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met through the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Experience in construction engineering preferred.
• Familiarity with drawings, specifications and building materials.
• Ability to communicate effectively with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Meets daily with project crews to review schedule and resources.
• Collects and analyzes shop drawings, specs, materials and data.
• Provides technical input for work plans and scheduling; identifies risks.
• Monitors production, schedule and budget projections.
• Records project costs and coordinates with finance on time and resources.
• Reviews timecards with supervisors and payroll as needed.
• Assesses quality assurance, permits, certifications and docations.
• Plans field layout and marks utility and commercial lines before work begins.
• Coordinates subcontractor methods, schedules and crews.
