Position Overview
Company is seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Field Engineer Lead to support mission-critical technology deployments across data center construction projects and active job sites nationwide. This individual will serve as the technical leader for field deployments, overseeing network, infrastructure, and collaboration technology implementations within temporary jobsite offices, construction trailers, and customer facilities. The role requires a combination of technical expertise, project leadership, customer engagement, and team coordination. The ideal candidate is a proven field engineer who can independently lead deployments, mentor junior engineers, coordinate subcontractors and internal resources, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and represent the company professionally at customer sites.
Key Responsibilities

- Serve as the primary field-based technical lead and customer-facing representative.
- Coordinate and direct field engineers, subcontractors, and internal project resources.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to team members, including field engineering staff.
- Manage project execution, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and according to customer requirements.
- Identify and resolve project risks, technical challenges, and deployment issues.
- Communicate project status, milestones, dependencies, and escalations to project stakeholders.
Network & Infrastructure Deployment
- Install and validate temporary and permanent network environments.
- Deploy switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and supporting infrastructure.
- Build and organize network racks and equipment installations.
- Support structured cabling and low-voltage infrastructure deployments.

- Perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for network, connectivity, and infrastructure issues.
- Validate system functionality and readiness prior to customer handoff.
Collaboration & AV Technology

- Install and validate Logitech solutions, OWL devices, displays, and related AV technologies.
- Coordinate mounting and installation activities for displays and collaboration equipment.
- Test, validate, and optimize end-user collaboration experiences.
Construction Site Technology Support
- Outfit temporary jobsite trailers and project offices with network and collaboration infrastructure.
- Support technology requirements for large-scale construction and data center projects.
- Coordinate field activities across customers, vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
- Ensure technology environments remain operational throughout project lifecycles.

- 5+ years of hands-on field engineering, infrastructure deployment, or technical implementation experience.
- Experience leading onsite technology deployments and coordinating project resources.

- Current networking certifications or relevant technical certifications are a plus.
Key Success Factors
- Strong field leadership and ownership of complex deployments.

Ideal Candidate Profile
This role is best suited for a hands-on field engineering leader, not an individual whose experience is primarily limited to remote administration, architecture, or engineering design.
Ideal candidates will have experience supporting data centers, construction sites, branch openings, manufacturing facilities, warehouses, or other environments where they were directly responsible for deploying, supporting, and leading technology implementations in the field.
The strongest candidates will combine technical expertise with the ability to lead people, coordinate subcontractors, communicate effectively with customers, and take full ownership of successful project delivery.
