Job summary

Kiewit in Houston, TX is seeking a Field Engineer to oversee heavy industrial construction projects across North America. You will collaborate with a dynamic team to estimate, schedule, and execute mechanical, electrical, and civil works while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role requires a BS in Construction Management or Engineering, strong reading of drawings, and familiarity with project controls and cost management. Willingness to relocate/travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant engineering field.
• Must be legally authorized to work without sponsorship.
• Knowledge of construction safety and OSHA standards.
• Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings and owner specs.
• Familiarity with scheduling and cost control techniques.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with specialized software is a plus.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Willingness to relocate and travel as required.

District Overview

The Kiewit Power Market provides direct-hire and construction services for Power Generation utilizing a union and non-union craft force. The Kiewit Power Market builds major EPC and bid-build natural gas power plants, solar fields, nuclear facilities and energy storage systems throughout North America. Location

Responsibilities

• Support both administrative and field operations: review drawings/specs, perform material takeoffs, and prepare cost estimates

• Able to work independently and part of a collaborative environment
• Physically able to navigate active construction site in varying climates and conditions
• Willingness to relocate and travel as required
• Access to reliable transportation to and from work

Base Compensation: $85,000-$90,000
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
