Job summary

NXC Imaging is seeking a mid-level Field Service Engineer to install, troubleshoot, calibrate, and perform preventive maintenance on diagnostic imaging equipment for customer sites in the Kearney–Hastings area of Nebraska. This field-based role requires travel and on-call availability to support hospital customers.

The ideal candidate will have a two-year electronics-focused degree and at least three years of field service experience in digital imaging, with CT experience being a plus.

Qualifications

• Two-year post-secondary degree or certificate in electronic technology or equivalent training.
• Minimum of three years work experience, preferably in digital imaging field or experience in a specific modality.
• Experience servicing diagnostic imaging equipment is preferred, experience with CT a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install diagnostic imaging equipment at customer sites.
• Perform preventive maintenance and calibrations per equipment specs.
• Troubleshoot and service multiple products across modalities.
• Provide accurate service reports, parts orders, and timekeeping.
• Interact with customers to identify issues and maintain relations.
• Respond to colleagues and escalate as needed.
• Maintain product knowledge through training.
• Travel as needed and be available for after-hours calls.

About the role

NXC Imaging is a service provider of capital diagnostic imaging equipment. We currently have an open position for a mid-level Field Service Engineer (FE) in the Kearney-Hastings area of Nebraska. The FE will install, troubleshoot, calibrate, and complete preventative maintenance of the equipment at NXC customer sites. This is a field-based position. We are looking for a candidate in the Kearney-Duluth area.

What you'll do

• Install diagnostic imaging equipment effectively and efficiently.
• Assist/perform preventive maintenance and calibrations per equipment specifications and standards.
• Interact with customers to identify customer issues/needs, maintaining excellent customer relations.
• Properly troubleshoot, diagnose and service multiple products in one or more modalities.
• Answer technical and applications questions for internal and external customers and elevate to appropriate person if necessary.
• Improve personal productivity by enhancing product knowledge and skill set through formal and on the job training.
• Provide accurate and timely service reports, part orders, part returns, timecards, and expense reports and all other required reports.
• Respond to colleagues in a timely manner with ordinary courtesy (Service Support, Finance, Sales, etc.); maintain frequent contact with manager to present information or recommendations.

Qualifications

Education

• Two-year post-secondary degree or certificate in electronic technology or equivalent training.

Experience

• Minimum of three years work experience, preferably in digital imaging field or experience in a specific modality.
• Experience servicing diagnostic imaging equipment is preferred, experience with CT a plus.

Skills

• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Demonstrated ability in the use of hand and power tools.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Must be a self-starter who is able to work both independently and in a team environment, willing to travel overnights as needed, and be available for calls during off-hours.

Abilities

• Perform specialized or technical work with unclear guidelines. Work is often analytical and involved, requiring judgment where polices and methods are not well-established.
• Ability to independently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

The pay range for this role is:
