Job summary

Blattner Energy, LLC is offering a Summer 2027 internship designed to give hands-on experience in construction management and engineering. You will support daily data collection, scheduling, and material coordination on active renewable energy projects across the United States.

The program emphasizes field exposure, mentorship, and professional networking. Successful interns will relocate to the project site for 12 weeks, with lodging assistance and other benefits provided.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a two-year or four-year degree in construction management or engineering.
  • Must relocate to the project site for the 12-week internship.
  • Access to reliable transportation is required.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable MVR.
  • Comfortable with field conditions (dirt, heat, noise, dust) and a trailer office environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in collecting daily production and safety data.
  • Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, vendors, and material suppliers.
  • Support project equipment management and inventory.
  • Attend weekly meetings with engineers, subcontractors, and owner representatives.
  • Participate in field activities to gain craft experience.
  • Help prepare agendas for daily and monthly meetings.
  • Develop relationships with clients, subcontractors, landowners and team members.

Note: This position is part of Blattner's Summer 2027 Internship Program.

DAY IN THE LIFE
  • Support the collection of daily production and safety data.
  • Help coordinate and schedule subcontractors, vendors, and material suppliers.
  • Assist with project equipment management and inventory, including tools and materials.
  • Attend weekly meetings with engineers, subcontractors, and owner representatives.
  • Engage in field activities to gain experience with craft positions.
  • Assist in preparing agendas for daily and monthly meetings (Plan of the Day, Monthly Managers Meetings).
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, landowners, and team members to enhance the company’s position.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
  • Currently pursuing a two-year or four-year degree in construction management, engineering (civil, electrical, mechanical, industrial), or related degree.
  • Able to relocate to the construction project site assigned for duration of the internship (12 weeks).
  • Have access to reliable transportation.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle driving record (MVR).
  • Comfortable with exposure to dirt, heat, noise, dust, and a trailer office environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, Outlook, Visio).
  • Skill in accounting (math and record-keeping).
  • Be independently motivated and have supervisory skills.
