Job summary

FlatironDragados is offering a Field Engineer Intern/Co-op internship in Raleigh, North Carolina. Interns will work with project managers, engineers, and construction staff to apply engineering principles on real projects and gain hands-on experience across plan interpretation, scheduling, and field operations.

Qualifications include current enrollment in an Engineering or Construction Management program at an accredited college.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited Engineering, Construction Management, or related program.
• Relevant coursework in civil engineering or construction management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with evaluation of field conditions and acceptance testing
• Support quality assurance and quality control engineering materials testing
• Apply survey knowledge to assist with project layout and checking of work
• Review project drawings and coordinate design changes
• Provide document control assistance for correspondence and submittals
• Initiate engineering design clarifications
• Perform quantity tracking and productivity analysis
• Assist with updating project schedule and scheduling decisions
• Respond to field for design clarification and manage subcontractors' field operations
• Provide design assistance to the project engineer for temporary structures using CAD tools
