Job summary

Baker Hughes is offering a University Internships: Field Engineering program to provide hands-on experience for students pursuing engineering or STEM degrees. Interns will work on real field projects, collaborate with experienced engineers, and gain exposure to drilling, testing, and equipment maintenance.

You will collect field data, analyze trends, and help troubleshoot operational challenges while learning HS&E practices and the company culture.

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Mechanics, or related STEM field.
GPA 2.75/4.0 or equivalent.
Fluent in spoken and written English with strong communication skills.
Willing to relocate for the internship duration.
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Completing internal projects to deliver customer outcomes and identify business improvements.
Collaborating with experienced engineers on field operations such as drilling, well testing, or equipment maintenance.
Collecting field data and assisting in analysis to identify trends or issues and troubleshooting related to field operations.
Inspecting and maintaining equipment to ensure proper working order.
Maintaining detailed records of field activities, equipment inspections, and safety measures for compliance and future reference.
Applying HS&E standards and procedures to ensure compliance.
