Job summary

Kiewit is offering an internship in its Power Delivery division focused on construction management. You will gain hands-on experience across project controls, craft management, safety, quality, and contract administration while supporting a major EPC and bid-build projects across North America.

Ideal candidates are pursuing an engineering or construction-related degree and must be willing to relocate for project assignments, with strong work ethic and teamwork as core traits.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering or related degree.
• Must be legally authorized to work without requiring sponsorship for employment to begin or continue employment with our company.
• Broad knowledge of project scheduling and cost control; ability to read and understand project drawings.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office; knowledge of SureTrak, Hard Dollar, Revit, SAP, Pro Log and/or Primavera P6 is a plus.
• Strong organizational and time management skills; strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse team to build, estimate, and schedule mechanical, electrical and heavy industrial systems.
• Support administrative and construction activities; review proposals and drawings, perform material takeoffs, prepare cost estimates.
• Learn how to supervise subcontractors and communicate with vendors.
• Prepare work plans, ensure quality control, manage costs and materials, schedule equipment, and assist safety programs.
