Job summary

Kiewit Building Group is seeking interns in Seattle for a hands-on construction management internship. You will learn to build, estimate, and schedule across mechanical, civil, electrical and heavy industrial projects while supporting both administrative and site activities.

You'll gain exposure to safety programs, cost control, vendor coordination, and opportunities for travel and career growth in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related degree
• Strong scheduling and cost control understanding and ability to read plans and specs
• Experience with Microsoft Office; familiarity with SureTrak, Hard Dollar, Revit, SAP, Pro Log and/or Primavera P6 a plus
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse team to build, estimate, and schedule mechanical, civil, electrical and heavy industrial construction
• Support administrative and construction activities; review proposals, specs and drawings; perform material takeoffs and prepare cost estimates
• Learn to supervise subcontractors and communicate with vendors
• Prepare work plans, ensure quality control, manage costs and materials, schedule equipment, and maintain owner relations
• Maintain records on job progress, costs and materials
