Job summary

Webber, a Ferrovial construction company, invites motivated students to join our 12-week internship program in civil, mechanical, environmental engineering, or related fields in Houston. You’ll gain hands-on experience across safety, surveying, project supervision, and field engineering while contributing to real projects.

We seek applicants who communicate well in English, excel in MS Office, and can perform construction math with strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Science/Management, or related 4-year degree program.
• Ability to communicate in English via verbal and written communications.
• Moderate to high level of computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
• Manual dexterity to handle items and perform field activities.
• Full understanding of Construction Math concepts.

Responsibilities

• Gain understanding of safety practices and job hazard analysis concepts.
• Learn to apply PPE for jobsite activities.
• Observe and prevent safety incidents and conduct jobsite audits.
• Learn how to interpret plans and set layouts for surveys.
• Assist with surveying for quantities and conversions.
• Assist in estimating man-hours and materials for production.
• Communicate and support field crews with work plans.
