3G Companies is offering a summer Field Engineer Intern position that will place you across the Eastern Nebraska region. This field-based internship provides training to prepare you for potential future roles as field or project leaders.

The program emphasizes safety, core values, and hands-on experience with project documentation, meetings, RFIs, submittals, and coordination using industry tools. Expect a collaborative, fast-paced environment with mentorship from seasoned professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s (preferred) or associate degree in construction management/related degree.
• Great verbal and written communication skills.
• Extremely detail-oriented.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Ability to work nights and weekends as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Participate and document Safety Walks
• Complete jobsite progress photos and reports
• Document foremen meeting minutes
• Review and learn about 6-week schedule from the superintendent
• Update client of job progress via the Client app
• Assist with RFIs, ASIs, PRs, submittals, closeouts and other documentation
• Attend Pre-punch, punch list items and punch list walk with architect
• Assist Project Manager and Superintendent with various duties
• Promote and enforce safety policies
• Utilize Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Projects, and Outlook
• Follow Graham Core Processes, including jobsite checklists
• Maintain relationships with owners/clients, architects, trade partners
• Attend job site tours to learn about construction projects
• Create and present an intern project with other interns
• Complete intern educational projects (e.g., Estimating assignments)
• Attend company events such as safety meetings and State of the Company meeting.
