Job summary

Cadence McShane Construction Company is offering an internship in field construction management in Plano, TX. This seasonal full-time role places you on the jobsite to learn and support running large-scale commercial, multi-family, industrial, or institutional projects.

You will assist with coordinating trades, participate in inspections, and help manage daily reports and punch lists under supervision.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management is preferred.

If your career objective is field construction management, ultimately serving as Project Superintendent, we offer internship opportunities to work full-time in the field. You will participate and learn activities related to managing job sites for large-scale commercial, multi-family, industrial, or institutional projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist with coordinating the efforts of multiple trades.

Requirements

• Students pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management preferred.
• Able to communicate effectively and work productively with others.
• Other success factors include attention to detail, problem solving, reliability, initiative, positive attitude, professionalism, and an eagerness to learn.
• Ability to use construction management software such as Procore, Timberline, Bluebeam, CMiC, PlanGrid, Textura, and Field ID.
• Ability to use the internet and Microsoft Office 365.

Key Information

• Seasonal full-time, in-person role at assigned jobsite.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License required.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. required.
