Job summary

Balfour Beatty US is seeking a Field Engineer to support infrastructure construction projects in the field, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance. You will provide technical expertise, field coordination, and monitor daily activities against drawings and specs.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of related experience, a civil engineering or construction management background, and proficiency with AutoCAD/Bluebeam/Procore. This onsite role offers growth within a leading national contractor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 5–10 years of construction experience, especially in infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction docs, drawings, specs; ability to read plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating daily field activities aligned with project goals.
• Review drawings and contract documents to ensure proper field implementation.
• Track progress and prepare daily labor, equipment, and material reports.
• Coordinate with superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and inspectors to resolve issues.
• Provide layout and surveying support for structures, utilities, drainage, and roadways.
• Support safety, quality, and environmental compliance in field operations.
• Assist with cost coding, material tracking, and project documentation.
