Job summary

Clean Chemistry is seeking a Field Engineer to support field trials, installations, and operations in pulp & paper mills, water treatment and food processing facilities across the USA and internationally. The role is hands-on and requires frequent travel (25–50%), with data analysis, remote support, and customer-facing responsibilities.

The ideal candidate has an engineering degree (or equivalent experience) and strong communication, problem-solving, and independent-work capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical, chemical, environmental engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with process equipment and automation in industrial settings.
• Willing to travel 25–50% domestically and internationally.
• Strong written and verbal communication with customers.
• Proficient with spreadsheet and database software.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and drive projects forward.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies and procedures at customer facilities.
• Install and support operation of chemical production systems at customer sites.
• Travel to customer facilities to run product trials and coordinate with management.
• Develop proficiency with production systems to maintain and repair equipment.
• Test and evaluate systems before and after deployment.
• Conduct chemical analyses of products and process streams.
• Coordinate deployment of systems for trials and permanent installations.
• Understand customer facilities and processes.
• Analyze customer data to assess impact of technology across applications.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering and HSEQ teams to improve safety, quality and efficiency.
