Job summary

Manhattan Construction Company is seeking a Field Engineer to provide technical engineering support to project supervisors and the craft workforce, ensuring compliance with standards, codes, and specifications. The candidate must be a flexible team player with strong communication and client service skills.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate safety commitment, ability to read and interpret drawings, and effective collaboration with subcontractors and field teams.

Qualifications

• 2 Year Degree- Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent. May substitute required education degree with related experience on a one-to-one basis.
• 3 years of industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate commitment to an injury-free environment through own actions and mentoring others.
• Supports/assists in implementation of Operation Zero and all Manhattan safety policies.
• Participate in performing survey layout for construction control lines and elevations for accurate measurement and correct installation of materials.
• Maintain record documents.
• Material takeoffs for self-perform work.
• Research of drawing interpretations, problems, and errors.
• Verify that all completed work complies with drawings and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of contract specifications and documents.
• Verify all survey monuments and markers.
• Assist in subcontractor coordination.
• Conduct themselves in accordance with our Guiding Principles and Way We Work.
• Other duties as assigned.
