Job summary

Gregory Construction is seeking a Field Engineer to support heavy civil and mission-critical projects across the Southeast. You will assist Superintendents and Project Managers with daily field operations, planning, and safety compliance.

Travel frequently to job sites, read plans, coordinate with vendors and internal teams, and maintain reports to ensure project progress on schedule and within budget. You will help with quantity tracking and on-site issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project management or construction software is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand plans, specifications, and construction documents.
• Willingness to travel frequently to job sites across the region.

Responsibilities

• Assist Superintendents and Project Managers with daily field operations and planning.
• Track project progress, schedules, and resource allocation to meet deadlines.
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to keep projects on schedule.
• Provide support in maintaining safety and quality compliance on-site.
• Prepare daily reports, field documentation, and assist with quantity tracking.
• Participate in layout, survey coordination, and troubleshooting field issues.
• Communicate updates to the project management team and contribute to problem‑solving discussions.
• Support in managing materials, equipment, and documentation to ensure smooth operations.
