The role requires daily on-site presence during construction and involves coordinating across civil, mechanical, electrical, and substation scopes, supervising trade partners, and facilitating QA/QC and safety programs.

Competenze

• OSHA 30 certification required (or ability to obtain prior to mobilization)

Description POSITION OVERVIEW: Stiles Renewables is seeking a Field Engineer to support technical field operations on-site and oversee various administrative and technical tasks in both the field and field office, ensuring project success and operational efficiency for utility-scale renewable energy projects, including solar, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and substation construction. This role requires daily on-site presence during construction activities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Proactively support the Electrical Superintendent in front-line field management by coordinating on-site construction activities across civil, mechanical, electrical, and substation scopes of work
• Supervise trade partners and/or subcontractor employees, as assigned
• Evaluate and distribute project design and engineering documents
• Assist with site mobilization planning and preparation activities
• Support field surveying and work layout activities
• Conduct site inspections to monitor work progress, quality, safety, and compliance with project requirements
• Assist with QA/QC, site safety initiatives, and trade partner coordination, as assigned
• Collaborate with the project team on the project execution plan and field operation deliverables, including estimating, preconstruction activities, project manhours, and certified payroll compliance
• Coordinate material deliveries by reviewing material requirements in advance and comparing them to delivery schedules and status.
• Inspect materials delivered to the site for quantity, quality, and condition, and report any missing, damaged, or non-conforming items
• Oversee inventory processes to ensure accurate tracking, proper storage, and availability of materials to support project operations
• Assist in interpretation of plans and specifications for field crews and craft supervision
• Perform quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining percentage of completed/installed materials and work
• Assist in the preparation of work plans and work packages by coordinating project scope, subcontract requirements, schedules, and field execution activities to ensure alignment with contract obligations.
• Assist in schedule maintenance and performing updates as directed
• Maintain project documentation and correspondence, including daily reports, progress photographs, submittals, requests for information (RFIs), etc.
• Assist with entering data into the job cost system and participate in reviewing cost reports with project team
• Assist with preparing change orders and maintaining as-built documentation to be reviewed by the Project Manager
• Other duties as assigned

Per Diem: $150/day

This is a Contract position based out of Brownsville, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
