Job summary
HNTB Corporation in Kissimmee, FL is seeking an Engineering Inspector to provide inspection and documentation of construction work to ensure compliance with plans, specs, and contract provisions. The role supports field activities, computes pay item quantities, reviews drawings, and coordinates with the Resident Engineer to resolve issues.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and familiarity with shop drawing reviews; engineer intern license and GPS tools knowledge are
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Engineer Intern license preferred and familiarity with digital construction management tools like Constructware or Asite.
Responsibilities
- Assist with construction field work to ensure adherence to plans and specs.
- Coordinate and schedule quality control inspections.
- Observe on-site material testing and coordinate testing services.
- Perform basic quantity calculations for pay items.
- Review contractor's daily reports for accuracy and consistency.
- Read and interpret drawings and specs, identify discrepancies.
- Maintain reports on construction progress with photos/video.
- Liaise with Resident Engineer to address issues and propose solutions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry tools and technology.
