Job summary

Michael Page US is recruiting for a Senior Survey/Field Engineer to lead layout and surveying on major commercial projects. You will set up and maintain control, use Total Station and Theodolite equipment, and coordinate with project teams to ensure accurate layouts and high-quality outcomes.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in field engineering and surveying, strong software skills, and a keen eye for geometric precision. Excellent communicator with organizational strengths is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field engineering, surveying and layout experience on large-scale commercial projects.
• Proficiency with Total Station, Robotic Total Station, and Theodolite.
• Experience with data surveying software.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong understanding of Coordinate Geometry and Geometric Functions.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain permanent control throughout the line and grade portion of the project.
• Provide layout information to the project team for seamless execution.
• Complete layouts accurately, efficiently, and within the project timeline.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in drawings prior to execution.

• Identify and resolve any discrepancies in drawings prior to execution.
• Complete layouts accurately, efficiently, and within the project time line.
• Provide layout information to the project team for seamless execution.

The Successful Applicant

• Proficient in using Total Station, Robotic Total Station, and/or Theodolite equipment.
• Experienced with data surveying software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of Coordinate Geometry, Geometric Theory, and Geometric Functions for establishing survey/data/layout points.
• 5+ years of experience in field engineering, surveying, and layout for large-scale Commercial, Self-Perform General Contractor, or Concrete Contractor projects.
