Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 1–3 years in heavy civil or infrastructure construction.
• Experience with RFIs, submittals, and drawings in Procore.
• Familiarity with public works standards (DOT, municipal, AASHTO, FHWA).
• Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Field experience with earthwork, utilities, or site development.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily with Project Managers and Superintendents to support field operations and project execution.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and submittals for field compliance.
• Support field operations with layout verification, line and grade checks, and technical clarification.
• Assist with coordination of earthwork, grading, underground utilities, drainage, and related work.
• Perform quantity take-offs, track installed quantities, and support pay applications and cost tracking.
• Coordinate materials testing activities.
• Inspect materials and workmanship for contract compliance and quality.
• Interface with field crews, subcontractors, inspectors, utility agencies, and project stakeholders.
• Support safety compliance related to trenching, traffic control, and heavy equipment.
• Maintain daily reports, logs, and field documentation.
• Identify field issues and assist with resolution, including change orders.
• Assist in preparing workplans and JHAs.
