Job summary

Turing in the United States seeks a Field Engineer, AI Labs to wire model endpoints, run extensive benchmarks, and translate results into actionable insights for frontier AI labs. You will work closely with researchers and technical leaders to deliver precise data evaluations and client-ready reports.

Location is United States with a strong preference for the San Francisco Bay Area; remote within the US is considered.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of professional experience in data science, AI/ML engineering, solutions engineering, or data analytics with a demonstrated transition into generative AI.
• Strong hands-on Python proficiency with REST/gRPC model APIs and data tooling (pandas, SQL).
• Experience with model evaluation, benchmarks, or LLm-as-a-judge pipelines; ability to translate metrics into insights.

Responsibilities

• Connect frontier model APIs and inference endpoints into evaluation harnesses.
• Run large-scale benchmark experiments across proprietary datasets.
• Analyze results, identify failures and data needs, and present findings to researchers and leaders.
• Serve as the technical counterpart to sales leads on calls and translate evaluation data into client-ready reports.
