McGough seeks a Field Engineer to assist the onsite Superintendent and Foreman with a variety of construction tasks. This role provides a gateway to Field Operations or Project Management as you learn foundational building principles on projects across the United States.
Required are an associates degree or two years of related experience, internship/field exposure, and strong organizational, communication, and MS Office skills. Travel is required.

The primary role of the Field Engineer is to assist the onsite Superintendent and/or Foreman with a variety of tasks in support of project execution. In this role, the Field Engineer will learn foundational principles and processes of building construction which will serve as a gateway to a career path in either Field Operations or Project Management.
This position supports McGough's National Travel - Advanced Technology business and may be assigned to projects throughout the United States with your desired location taken into consideration.
Overnight and extended travel is required based on project location and business needs. Project assignments and work locations may change as projects are completed.

Position involves sitting for extended periods of time at employee's workstation and during meetings as well as while traveling, either by plane or car. Employee needs to be able to lift to 50 pounds as frequently as needed to move objects; dexterity to write and manipulate computer keyboard and mouse; ability to hear and speak clearly; and ability to distinguish between colors on graphs and charts.
Employee will be required to visit construction jobsites which may expose the employee to dirt, dust, uneven surfaces, outdoor weather conditions and extreme temperatures.
