Job summary

MMR Field Engineer position based in Canton, MS seeks a Field Engineer to support field installation activities, verify layouts, resolve constructability issues, and maintain as-built documentation. The role involves coordinating with foremen, performing layout walkdowns, and assisting with inspections and client reporting.

Qualifications include a BS in Construction Management or related field, experience in electrical/instrumentation construction, and the ability to read electrical drawings.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical and instrumentation construction preferred.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawing packages and specifications.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize, organize, problem solve, and exercise good judgement with minimal supervision.
• Must have basic knowledge in estimating and controls.
• Regular and reliable attendance at work.
• Willingness to work flexible, varying hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Relay RFIs, submittals, and design clarifications to frontline supervisors.
• Perform layout verification and field walkdowns including site surveying.
• Identify and resolve constructability issues and design interpretation.
• Support quality inspections by providing completed tag items list.
• Maintain as-built documentation.
• Review daily installation progress and quantity reports generated by foreman.
• Coordinate directly with foremen and supervisors.
• Perform installation audits and tracking updates for accurate client reporting.
• Work with Construction Managements and Superintendents to provide constraints reports impacting productivity.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor and upper management
