Job Description Summary

The Field Engineer 2 performs on-time and accurate Preventative Maintenance in one or more modalities of equipment. The FE2 follows all Field Modification Instructions and/or Instrument Service Information bulletins. Works with experienced Field Engineers, both onsite and remotely, to learn troubleshooting, repair, and equipment installation techniques. Responsible for driving customer satisfaction through Service Excellence.

The Field Engineer will primarily perform preventative maintenance throughout Central Florida. This role requires onsite work at customer locations and occasionally from a home office. The candidate must be able to work in the Orlando FL area. This is a 3rd shift role – hours are typically 9pm to 6am, with flexibility based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  1. Perform timely and accurate preventative maintenance, installations, and troubleshooting on medical equipment within hospitals or healthcare systems to ensure optimal healthcare delivery.
  2. Maintain relationships with customers, ensuring proper communication, resolution, and follow-up to drive satisfaction.
  3. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and hospital protocols; document all work performed, including parts ordered.

Required Qualifications

  1. Associates or Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of experience servicing medical equipment; or military education equivalent with similar experience; or High School Diploma/GED with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
  2. Experience with Web applications and Microsoft Office suite.
  3. Willingness to work 3rd shift, including after-hours, weekends, and on-call as needed.
  4. Valid Driver's License and willingness to travel for training.
  5. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available).

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs., perform physical activities like bending, stooping, climbing, and crouching, and have good manual dexterity.
