Job Description Summary

The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for meeting the daily service repair needs of customer equipment and driving customer satisfaction through Service Excellence. Focus areas include Networking, Monitoring, and Anesthesia.

Responsibilities
  1. Work with experienced field engineers on troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and repair of designated equipment.
  2. Complete Preventative Maintenance and Functional Management Inspections.
  3. Manage repair parts cycle times.
  4. Maintain customer service logs and internal records timely.
  5. Communicate effectively with customers to ensure resolution and follow-up, enhancing customer satisfaction.
  6. Properly maintain and calibrate tools and test equipment.
  7. Comply with Health and Human Services, Environment, Health and Safety, and other regulatory requirements.
  8. Manage vendor service delivery processes in accordance with GE Healthcare policies.
  9. Use escalation processes and conduct root cause analysis for problem solving.
  10. Collaborate with the local team to deliver efficient service across accounts.
  11. Be capable of answering service calls independently within 1 year of employment.
Qualifications/Requirements
  1. Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering Technology, or related field; or pursuing a bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of coursework; or a High School Diploma/GED with military electronics, mechanical repair experience, or servicing electronic equipment.
  2. IT experience and customer service skills.
  3. Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  4. Experience as a GEHC field service intern is preferred.
  5. Process-oriented with self-initiative and motivation.
  6. Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic equipment.
  7. GPA of 2.75 or higher.
  8. Six Sigma trained/certified.
