Qualifications

  • Willing to travel internationally and domestically up to 75% of the time.
  • Valid driver's license required.

  • Provide sustainable process support at key and strategic customers.
  • Coordinate customer sample evaluations on AIXTRON equipment at customer sites or labs.

  • Assist with installation, system checks, and commissioning worldwide if necessary.
  • Communicate with customers to analyze needs within after-sales operations.

Equipment Manufacturing company has a need for aField Process Engineer

Open to candidates nationwide (USA). Preferred locations include:

  1. San Jose, California

  5. USA General (Preference near major airport)- role requires >75% traveling requirement

We are aleading equipment manufacturer for the semiconductor industryand the market leader in complex deposition processes for compoundsemiconductors.

Inthe role of field process engineer, you are responsible for theprocess qualification and technical acceptance of our (MO)CVDsemiconductor equipment at our customer's sites. You will also serve as aliaison between customers and all components of the company throughoutthe acceptance process. After technical acceptance of the semiconductorequipment, the Field Process Engineer offers support in the processoptimization and maintenance of the equipment as well as the customertraining on semiconductor equipment and process related topics. Finally,the position is responsible for maintaining a high level of customersatisfaction while representing the interests of the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement equipment (semiconductor) process recipes and process parameters according to customer specifications
  • Provide sustainable process support at selected key and strategic customers
  • Coordinate customer sample evaluations on various AIXTRON equipment located at customer sites and/or application labs
  • Defineand describe equipment process performance specifications for customerapplications by evaluating customer process methods, facilities,materials, patterns, measurement equipment and procedures.
  • Provide support for sales department including demonstrations and information on technical and design issues
  • Assists with the installation, technical system check, and commissioning of equipment (if necessary, worldwide)
  • Communicate with customers in order to analyze specific needs and requirements within the after sales operations

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Prefer a background inEngineering, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry.
  • Demonstratedproficiency in using statistical analysis programs for gathering andanalyzing process data related to equipment performance specifications.
  • Ability to write formal reports to document field activities
  • Ability to make technical presentations in front of customers
  • Ability to learn semiconductor processing to assist customers with integration
  • Must be willing to travel internationally and domestically up to 75% of the time
  • Valid driver's license required
