Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, project management, engineering, or related

- 2-5 years of experience in a similar position performing visual inspections on concrete/steel/rebar

- Corrosion experience with inspecting or repairing corrosion on steel pipes or casings

- Familiar with Microsoft Office

- OSHA 10

- Registered vehicle and driver’s license

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Civil Engineering degree preferred

- Completed a Qualified NGA test through ITS (written or hands on)

Job Description

Insight Global is hiring a Field Engineer to join their gas engineering team of the primary utility company in NY for an opening in Yonkers, NY. This is a 6-month contract to potential hire opportunity taking place onsite in Yonkers 5 days a week with frequent field visits to project sites in the tri-state area.

In this role, the Field Engineer will be working on a lean team that organizes and oversees corrosion and leak inspections on the gas mains. Main responsibilities include: advising on go-forward steps related to replacement or repair of corroded pipes/mains primarily on bridges and overpasses across our service territory, reviewing inspection and field reports from subcontractors, and maintain accurate and complete records in their internal system. Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with cross functional teams is required to be successful in this position.
