Job summary

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company in Nashville, TN is seeking a Field Engineer to coordinate subcontractors on construction sites and report to a Project Manager or Superintendent.

You will coordinate and direct trades, resolve design issues, support project budgets and schedules, identify field issues and change orders, and ensure work meets quality and contract specifications. You will also review drawings and document each phase, maintaining a safe, compliant work site.

• Resolving and clarifying design issues.
• Supporting creation of project budgets and schedules.
• Identifying and resolving field issues and change orders.
• Setting expectations for managing a safe work site.
• Reviewing each trade's work progress with respect to each project phase.
• Ensuring work is completed in accordance with quality standards and contract specifications.
• Reviewing construction drawings.
• Documenting each phase of the project.

Whiting-Turner Field Engineers coordinate the work of subcontractors on construction sites. Reporting to a Project Manager or Superintendent, the Field Engineer's major duties include:
